This is Cavendish Square around 1908, the area remained much the same until the mid 60's, without the trams of -course. The small building to the right of the photo was the tramway office and waiting room. Which later became the taxi rank
This is the same view in 2004,when Cavendish Statue now resides behind the town hall. The bus routue has been diverted, as in front of the town hall is now a pedestrian precinct.
